Bald Hill - An important Antimony Deposit in New Brunswick

James Atkinson

Chief Executive Officer & Director, Antimony Resources Corp.

Talk Abstract

The Bald Hill Antimony Project, situated in Southern New Brunswick approximately equidistant form Fredericton, Sussex and St John, hosts the highest-grade deposit in North America.

The worldwide crisis of supply precipitated by the removal of Chinese export of antimony has sparked a revival of interest in antimony especially in North America. Antimony Resources are actively exploring the Bald Hill antimony deposit.

Antimony mineralization at Bald Hill consists of stibnite and is hosted in a NW-SE trending breccia zone cutting the dominantly northeast trending Ordovician volcano-sedimentary units of the Carpenter Brook Formation and associated Bald Hill rhyolite dome and microgranite complexes of the Annidale Group. The area is bounded in the south by the Taylor Brook Fault. The age of mineralization has not been definitively established nor has any relationship with intrusive units except similarly trending mafic (lamprophyre) dykes.

Antimony mineralization was identified in 2005 by NB Government geologists and was explored from 2008 to 2014 by New Brunswick based company Rockport. The initial “Discover hole” intersected 11.7% antimony over 3.29 meters.

Antimony Resources Corp became involved in January 2025 and have been actively exploring the project since.

To date 60 drillholes have been completed on the project totaling over 8,500 meters of drilling. The drilling has identified mineralization over a distance of at least 700 meters and has traced to a depth of 400 meters. The average grade of the drilling is between 4% and 5% antimony, and the thickness of the mineralization is between 3 and 4 meters. Three-D modeling has been completed to define the mineralized zone.

A non-43-101 compliant estimate of the potential of the deposit completed in 2025 and based on modeling by ORIX by reported 2.7 million tonnes at a grade of between 3 and 4 % Sb for a total of between 80,000 and 1100,000 tonnes of contained antimony. Recent drilling has extended the mineralization beyond the area included in this estimate.

Speaker Bio

Mr. Atkinson is CEO of Antimony resources and is an experienced exploration geologist and project manager with over 55 years of experience. Mr. Atkinson has spent his career in both mineral exploration and mining and in the environmental field attaining positions of CEO, President, Exploration Manager and Regional Manager with junior and major mining companies such as Newmont, Billiton and Agnico Eagle. He has reviewed, evaluated and acquired projects around the world and recently has also been part of the team responsible for mergers and acquisitions at Americas Silver. He has worked with investors to form and run junior exploration companies.

In the area of mineral exploration, he has designed and managed multi-million dollar programs searching for and discovering various commodities including industrial minerals. These programs comprised of up to 100 staff and involved geophysical, geochemical and drilling programs as well as prospecting and geological mapping. He has negotiated option and purchase deals for mineral properties.

At operating mines duties included completing exploration and development programs, evaluations and valuations. Programs for Gold, Magmatic Massive Sulphides (MMS), Platinum Group Metals (PGM), Volcanic Massive Sulphides (VMS), Porphyry Copper, Tin Tungsten Molybdenum, as well as industrial minerals and coal have been initiated, supervised and completed successfully in many countries on all continents.

He has conducted and supervised surface, airborne and borehole geophysical surveys for mineral and groundwater applications using magnetic, electrical, nuclear and other techniques.

In the environmental area past projects included all aspects of assessment, remediation and reporting and regulatory compliance at mining and exploration projects.

He has assisted on public presentations and has extensive experience in making presentations to management, investors, analysts, regulatory agencies and the general public.
