David Anonychuk

Global Vice President, Metallurgy and Consulting, SGS

Talk Abstract

The global rare earth elements (REE) market is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by surging demand from clean energy technologies, electric vehicles, and defense systems. This presentation will explore global strategies to diversify supply chains and reduce market concentration, drawing on insights from the IEA’s 2025 Critical Minerals Outlook and the G7’s 2025 Action Plan. Mr. Anonychuk will also share how SGS applies automated mineralogical techniques to understand often complex REE mineralogy to advance the metallurgy of rare earth projects.
