Danièle Spethmann, P.Geo.: President & CEO, Director - 30+ years’ experience in northern Ontario, Canada and internationally in Latin American and Botswana including senior geologist and principal on two projects with significant discoveries (Choco 10 - Carolina Zone and Fruta del Norte) in Venezuela and in Ecuador. Companies she has worked with include IAMGOLD, African Copper, Aurelian Resources and Bolivar Goldfields. She is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists Ontario, and a committee member of the Toronto Geological Discussion Group.
Melissa Render, Consulting Geologist, Warrior Gold Inc. - 10 + years’ experience as an exploration geologist, including 8 focused on orogenic gold. Melissa oversees Warrior’s technical team with efforts focused on creating a discovery culture using her expertise in data management and interpretation, target generation, exploration program design, and 3D modeling. She has managed projects worldwide from grassroots to advanced exploration in a variety of greenstone belts including the Abitibi (Canada), Eastern Goldfields (Australia), Hope Bay (Canada), Central Lapland (Finland) and Banfora (Burkina Faso). She has held senior geologist roles with junior and major companies including: Kinross Gold’s Canadian Division; AngloGold Ashanti; TMAC Resources; Kaminak Gold; and Waterton Global’s Nevada- based technical team. Skills include geologic modeling (Leapfrog), structural mapping and interpretation, geochemistry (ioGAS), GIS, and data management.
Talk Abstract:
Warrior Gold is a Canadian exploration company that owns the Goodfish-Kirana Property (34 km²) located five kilometers from the town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The Property is located in the historic and prolific Kirkland Lake Gold Camp of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, one of the world’s richest and highest-grade greenstone belts with over 200 million ounces of gold produced to date, of which +25 million ounces have been produced in the Kirkland Lake camp. The Company holds a 100% interest in the Goodfish-Kirana Property, a 11.5 km x 3 km (3,859 ha) land package that contains three major structural trends, numerous high-grade gold showings and historical underground workings.
Exploration on the property is in the early stages, and many promising targets have been identified. The geology of the property and the diamond drilling results from the March/April 2019 program will be presented.
