Alexandria Marcotte, P.Geo., Vice President Project Coordination, Osisko Mining
The Windfall Lake project is one of the world’s largest exploration projects with 23 active drills including the Discovery 1 drillhole, planned to be the deepest in Canada. Windfall Lake is an intrusion associated gold deposit in the Urban Barry volcanic greenstone belt in the Abitibi sub-province of Québec. The presentation will cover the geological setting of the Windfall Lake zones as well as the recently announced Windfall North and Triple Lynx zones, Osisko’s near-deposit exploration strategy, and planned future exploration.
Speaker Bio:
Alexandria started at Osisko as a Senior Geologist in March 2017. Previously, Alexandria was Director of Exploration for California Gold Mining and a project geologist for various Canadian gold and base metal projects. Previous experience also includes assistant to the Extractive Sector Corporate Social Responsibility Counsellor of Canada and working underground at Xstrata Copper’s Kidd Creek mine.
She received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, has a Certificate in Mining Management from Ryerson University and is currently a MBA candidate with Schulich School of Business, York University. Alexandria is a member of the Professional Geoscientists Ontario and the PDAC’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
